[Financial News] GLN International announced on the 24th that it has formed a business partnership with Singapore’s ‘DeCard’ app. Through this partnership, GLN will expand its overseas QR payment services in the Southeast Asian region. GLN, which was spun off from Hana Bank in July 2021, has been expanding its global payment network through various partnerships with financial institutions around the world.
With this partnership, GLN’s overseas QR payment service will also be connected to Singapore’s ‘DeCard’ app. Singaporean citizens will now be able to conveniently use QR payments in major Southeast Asian countries where GLN provides payment services, including Thailand, Laos, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Mongolia.
GLN’s overseas QR payment service has already been connected with apps such as the U.S.-based MoretaPay app and Taiwan’s TaishinPay+ app, proving the excellence and stability of GLN’s overseas payment network.
As Singapore’s ‘DeCard’ app joins the GLN network based on these overseas success stories, GLN has strengthened its position in the global QR payment network by expanding overseas app linkages from the U.S. and Taiwan to Singapore.
Lee Seok, CEO of GLN International, said, “DeCard’s participation in the GLN global payment network is the result of GLN QR payment network’s stability and service excellence being recognized in the global overseas payment market,” adding, “Going forward, we will expand various overseas partnerships in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and other countries so that users around the world can experience convenient mobile payments anywhere.”
GLN is a subsidiary of Hana Bank. It provides a variety of overseas payment services in major global regions, including QR payments, QR ATM withdrawals, overseas remittances, tuition payments for international students, and medical expense payments.
In particular, based on cooperation with domestic and overseas financial companies and platform companies, GLN’s overseas QR payment service can be conveniently used in major Asian regions such as Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos, Japan, and Taiwan.
