GLN International, a subsidiary of Hana Bank, is launching a QR payment and ATM withdrawal cashback event targeting summer overseas travelers.
GLN International announced on the 7th that it will run a 'Super Cashback' event offering cashback to customers using its overseas QR payment and ATM withdrawal services in July and August. The target countries include China, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, and Laos.
This event focuses on reducing the costs incurred by local merchant payments and cash withdrawals during overseas travel. GLN users can access overseas QR payment networks via their mobile apps without needing separate currency exchange or physical cards.
In Shanghai, China, 50% of the price paid for an admission ticket to the Provisional Government Building of the Republic of Korea will be refunded. A 10% cashback will be provided for purchases over 800,000 VND at Lotte Mart in Vietnam, 2,000 KRW back for payments over 1,000 JPY at Seven-Eleven in Japan, and 10% cashback for transactions over 200 THB on Grab in Thailand.
The QR payment benefits are available through the Purple GLN, Hana 1Q, Hana Pay, Hana Money, Toss, and Samsung Wallet apps.
Cashback on ATM QR withdrawal fees is also provided. Fees will be refunded for QR withdrawals over a certain amount at ATMs of BIDV Bank in Vietnam, SCB Bank in Thailand, BCEL Bank in Laos, and Seven Bank in Japan. The QR withdrawal benefits are available via the Purple GLN, Hana Money, Hana Pay, Toss, and Kakao Pay apps.
Lee Seok, CEO of GLN International, said, "We designed this event focusing on benefits for transportation, shopping, and cash withdrawals, which summer vacationers frequently use locally. We will continue to expand our global mobile simple payment and simple withdrawal services."
